This video has a somewhat more intimate feel than others in the Models Up Close series and to some extent seems more casual. I would describe it as a bunch of attractive young Aussie Sheilas having a good time and smoking.
The video contains a number of familiar models from other recent Smoke Vision productions as well as some new faces. There are a mixture of group scenes, duos and solo scenes. Generally the scenes with each model are contiguous which is good if you like that model because you can watch her scenes without having to jump around. A variety of types of cigarette are smoked including coloured cigarettes in the opening scene featuring 4 models, 3 of whom have cigarettes (each different colours) with the 4th (Emma) takes drags from the others.
Although there is a musical soundtrack throughout, there is live audio much of the time as well. The direction in this video seems to be shared between Steve Kelly and one of the models (possibly not, it's a young woman's voice anyway). The girls joke around alot and there is some raunchy conversation, especially in the final group scene.
My personal favourite is Kayla. A sexy honey blond, she was also in Best of Studio Extras and is an expert at french inhales, snaps and open mouth inhales. She always seems to be having a great time as well. Many of the others are great too. In one scene Selina persuades Shanna to smoke. Shanna appears to be a beginner. This doesn't do anything for me, but I know some people like it.
As with all Smoke Vision work, each scene is shot from several angles at the same time and these are edited together very smoothly so you will generally see the same action 2 or 3 times. This becomes more noticible due to the live audio because you hear the same phrase 2 or 3 times in a row. In some scenes the live audio is not on all the time, generally it comes up for the lighter click and will then fade out. This can be a bit disconcerting because you get a snatch of conversation. There are a lot of good close-ups in this video, which helps to give it an intimate feel.
The smoking is of a generally high standard and some of the girls are very attractive, especially the lovely Donna, familiar from Models Up Close #4, Teen Archive #2 and Smoke & Mirrors. The girls perform a wide variety of styles including snap inhales, open mouth inhales, a few french inhales and nose exhales. Many do rings, which I don't really care for. Another thing that I don't like is that many of them appear to be directed to hold the cigarette between thumb and fingers, a style that I find quite unfeminine. This almost spoils Donna's scene for me.
In general I would recommend this video to anyone who likes variety in a smoking video and especially to fans of a casual unaffected almost reality-TV feel. For Smoke Vision fans it is a must. |
